George this is so true! Unfortunately our funding doesn't always provide the materials we need for our classrooms. Coats, backpacks, food, supplies and just about anything else is the norm for most teachers anymore. Perhaps we could lobby to take all our out of pocket expenses off our taxes instead of just $250.00.
